Valve 108 is not a drain valve and its function is not to drain water from the system. When the water temperature in the outer section of the circuit reaches 3 °C, the valve opens the water drain, which manifests itself as a slight dripping. As soon as the building water enters the valve at a temperature above 4 °C, the valve's thermostatic sensor closes the water drain. This results in a situation where the valve operates "intermittently" rather than dripping continuously. Due to the small difference between the opening and closing temperatures, the amount of water discharged is reduced. The task of the valve is to maintain the continuous flow of water for the outer section of the system, for example through the heat pump exchanger, thus keeping the water at a temperature above 3 °C.
